Water Transportation Rewards

Due to our location being landlocked there are several unique conditions when purchasing water transports. Currently there are no water routes in or out of the Outpost. This results in the effectiveness of water transportation being very limited. Remember, the pricing does not include additions like ballista and harpoons, nor does it include a crew or cover any port or docking fees.

A Barge or Raft holds one to two people and is not seaworthy, but meant for calm rivers only. This is the only water vessel that can navigate the ancient canals around the outpost.

A Small Boat holds one to three people and can only hug coasts or travel in small lakes. This is basically a small rowboat or a canoe.

A Long Boat holds six to thirty people and can travel in harsher waters.

A Small Merchant Ship holds twelve to eighteen people plus cargo. It will usually have sails.

A Large Merchant Ship holds 24 to 36 people plus cargo. It is a sailing ship.

Property Rewards

The majority of property purchased in Alliance Atlanta is done during our donation drive, as it involves both a physical and tagged place. This means that the property will have a tangible presence at the event site, allowing players to interact with it directly.

Property bought with Goblin Stamps (GS) is more notional and will be tagged only, meaning it won't have a physical building associated with it on-site. However, it still carries in-game significance and can be utilized in various ways within the game world.

From time to time, we may open additional buildings, farmland, and other forms of property for sale on a case-by-case basis. Acquiring these will require both a GS (goblin stamp) cost and an RP (role-play) cost, ensuring that players invest in them both mechanically and narratively. This approach allows us to keep the game world dynamic while providing opportunities for players to expand their influence in meaningful ways.

What is listed covers the bare minimum of a property. All properties are customizable and as a result, a player should always contact plot before they decide their character is going to build a property. Acquiring a property in game, will likely have different barriers and costs associated to them that characters will discover as the pursuit of a property unfolds. These properties do not include furnishings other than bare essentials.

Additional buildings, or other additions to the property are designed with plot and their cost is determined based on the size, complexity, and materials chosen. Some frequently considered ideas are: Barracks, Stables, Barn, Lookout Tower, Walls, Armory, Ramparts, or a Library

Note: A keep is defined, essentially as a small castle. its base cost accounts for: 10 rooms, 4 guard Towers, and optional small moat with drawbridge.

All property and land grants in Alliance Atlanta are bequeathed, purchased, or acquired from the Nobility, with the Orders acting as intermediaries. This means that property ownership is not absolute; it is tied to your standing within the community. If a player is disgraced or falls out of favor, their property can be revoked by the Nobility. This system emphasizes the importance of maintaining honor and good relations within the game's social hierarchy, adding layers of intrigue and consequence to your in-game actions.

Reward Cost

Additional Room: 500
Stone 3 Room Cottage: 3000
Additional Room: 1000
Keep / Watch Tower 25,000

Hireling Rewards

NPC hirelings can sometimes be hired at a rate equal to their Profession levels. For example, if you wish to hire someone with one rank in the skill Profession: Artisan to paint your portrait, it will cost you one silver per day—the same amount that a player character would make per day for their profession skill.

If you want to hire Michelangelo with Craftsman: Artisan 30, then it will cost you 30 silver pieces per day. The more talent, the more you have to pay. Materials are not included. Hirelings will never have Crafting skills or spellcasting ability. Such items and spells must be acquired in-game. Note that availability of these hirelings is determined entirely by the Plot Committee.

The most common reason people start to use hirelings in our game is for role-play or story purposes. Just like in the real world, with enough money and resources, almost anything is possible. Whether you need extra hands to accomplish a task, support in-between battles, or someone to run errands for you, hirelings can add depth and realism to your character's journey. They can help bring your story to life by providing new opportunities for interaction and development.

But be warned—hirelings can be a double-edged sword, as their loyalty often extends only as far as the coin does. Following the mantra of "buyer beware," you might find a steadfast ally, or you might be taken advantage of by a sly Lothario or a cunning Huggermugger. Only time will tell if your investment in a hireling will pay off or backfire.

Cost is 1 silver, per level of profession, that the Hireling has.
